Eterra earth auger bits are built for all-around earth drilling in soil, clay and mixed ground. Every bit ships with a 2" hex drive, so it mounts directly to any Eterra auger drive without an adapter. Available in eight diameters from 4" to 36" from Skid Steer Store.

All Eterra bits use a 2" hex drive, standard across every Eterra auger drive. For another manufacturer's drive, add an Eterra hex auger adapter.
What size bit do I need for a fence post?
A common rule is roughly three times the post diameter. A 4x4 post typically takes a 9" or 12" bit depending on soil and how much concrete you want around it.
Can my 2500 drive turn a 36" bit?
No. The 2500 is rated to 30". Step up to the 3500 or 4500 for 36".
What about rocky ground?
Standard bits handle soil, clay and mixed ground. For consistently rough conditions, ask Skid Steer Store about tooth and pilot upgrades.
