The Virnig V50 Scrap Grapple (SSL)(CTL) is a two-jaw, independent-clamping attachment designed for skid steers handling demolition scraps, bulky debris, and oddly shaped loads. It’s built to secure uneven materials with consistent pressure, improving safety and efficiency on busy jobsites.
- Independent dual-jaw design: Each jaw is powered by its own cylinder, allowing true independent operation for secure gripping of irregular shapes and uneven surfaces.
- Universal mounting with protection: Includes universal skid steer mounting hoses, couplers & fittings plus a machine-specific hydraulic package to protect hose routing and stabilize performance.
- Durable construction: 1/4" Grade 50 steel solid bottom, 2" bore with 8.375" stroke cylinders, and NitroSteel® cylinder rods resist corrosion, dents, and flaking for long service life.
- Precision and lubrication: Greasable 1-1/4" cylinder pins, 1-9/16" hinge pins, and Teflon®-coated bushings ensure smooth pivoting at all locations.
- Edge options and wear protection: 3/4" x 6" weld-on cutting edge with holes to accept optional edges; standard cylinder guards; bolt-on cutting edge (BOCE) and serrated edge (SE) options available.
- Stronger bucket integration: Two 1/2" thick vertical braces inside the bucket add strength for heavy material handling.
- Compact, robust hydraulics: 2" bore, 8.375" stroke cylinders provide reliable clamping force across the full jaw span and load.
- Ready-to-ship options and sizes: Model widths available in 60", 66", 72", and 78" with corresponding overall widths and depths to fit a range of skid steers.
- Weight and capacity details: Weight ranges from 895 to 1015 lbs depending on size; recommended loader capacity is less than 2400 lbs ROC.
