Description
The Virnig Hay Bucket Grapple for Skid Steer is a heavy-duty bale-handling attachment designed for farms and ranches that regularly move large round bales. It combines a wide jaw opening with curved tines to grab and transport big bales efficiently while minimizing bale damage.
- Universal skid steer mounting hoses, couplers & fittings: Comes ready to hook up for quick installation and setup.
- Two-cylinder grapple with large jaw opening: 74.3" jaw opening plus curved tines for secure grip and minimal bale damage when penetrating bales.
- Durable hydraulic actuation: 2.0" bore, 8.375" stroke cylinders backed by NitroSteel® cylinder rods to resist corrosion, denting, and flaking.
- Robust pivot and wear components: Greasable 1 9/16" diameter hinge pins and 1 1/4" diameter cylinder pins; Teflon® coated bushings provide lubrication at all pivot locations.
- Cutting edge and edge options: 3/4" x 6" weld-on cutting edge with holes to accept optional edges; Bolt-on Cutting Edge (BOCE) and Serrated Edge (SE) available.
- Geometric detail and capacity: 4 bucket tines and 4 grapple teeth with 19.3" spacing; tine thickness 0.5"; overall widths of 72" and 84" models to fit different loaders.
- Size, weight, and loader compatibility: 72" model weighs about 1350 lbs; 84" model about 1450 lbs; recommended loader capacity > 2400 lbs ROC; overall bucket widths 73.5" (72" model) or 85.5" (84" model); bucket depth 40.0" and height 31.4".
- Options and compatibility: Machine-specific hydraulic package available; Big Bale Grapple with open bottom option; additional options include Serrated Edge (SE) or BOCE for tailored performance.
With this attachment, you can move large round bales quickly and securely, reducing multiple handling and potential bale damage. The open-bottom design option and curved tine geometry help you scoop, lift, and set bales cleanly in racks or feeders, improving daily workflow on busy farms. Durable NitroSteel rods, greasable pins, and low-friction bushings are built for long life in demanding hay operations, while the included hydraulic package and edge-options let you customize performance to your bale type and conditions.
