Virnig Auger Bits - Standard are rugged, replaceable post-hole bits designed for professionals and DIYers who need reliable digging in light to moderate soils. With a one-piece steel head and durable replaceable teeth, these bits deliver consistent holes and straightforward maintenance.
- Model Variants: Available in SAV6 through SAV36; all models use a 48" overall length with a 2" hex collar input, providing a range of hole sizes from 6" to 36" to fit different projects and post sizes. Weight ranges from 45 lbs (smallest) up to 440 lbs (largest).
- Construction: One-piece fabricated steel boring head with double flighting for efficient soil movement and reduced clogging, helping you drill faster with less effort.
- Teeth and Point System: Factory-installed Wisdom Gage teeth, Wisdom teeth, and a Fishtail point ensure reliable performance out of the box; replaceable bolt-on teeth simplify maintenance and wear management.
- Optional Hard-Ground Teeth: Carbide Wisdom teeth and Chisel teeth are available for harder, more compacted ground, extending bite life where standard teeth wear quickly.
- Replacement Parts: Standard replacement Fishtail Points and heavy-duty Carbide Fishtail Points are available to keep your bits performing at peak efficiency beyond initial use.
