Eterra EX-30 Flail Mower for Excavator
The Eterra EX-30 flail mower is the mid-size model in the EX-Series, built for excavators from 7,000 to 14,000 lbs running 8–50 GPM. Flail knives swing free on a spinning drum and throw material downward into the housing rather than outward, which is what makes a flail the right tool for roadside and residential work where a rotary cutter would be a liability. Hydraulic hoses, couplers, a machine-specific mount and a chain guard are all included. Available from Skid Steer Store.

Thumb Saddle Option
If your excavator runs a thumb, order the With Thumb Saddle configuration. The saddle gives the thumb a seat against the mower housing so it can be left fitted rather than removed every time you swap to the flail. Select it above — it is installed with your order, not shipped loose.

Your Mount Is Included
Do not order a separate excavator mount for this attachment. Eterra includes a machine-specific mount with every EX-Series flail mower — adding one from our Attachment Mounts listing would charge you twice. Additional mounting options are available if you need to run it on a second carrier.

Do I need the thumb saddle?
Only if your excavator has a thumb. The saddle lets the thumb stay fitted while running the mower instead of being removed each time.
Flail or rotary cutter?
Choose the flail for a fine finish and contained discharge near traffic and property. Choose the Cyclone rotary cutter for raw speed over open ground where throw is not a concern.
