How far below grade can it go?
The planer works the stump down in layers from the top. For deep below-grade removal, a dedicated grinder is the better tool.
Do I need a bigger auger drive for the 14"?
The larger head draws more torque, especially in hardwood. The 3500 or 4500 handles it more comfortably than the 2500.
Does it need extra hydraulics or a case drain?
No. It runs off your existing auger circuit with no case drain requirement.
