DESCRIPTION

The Baumalight RSX580 Excavator Log Splitter is a powerful and efficient attachment designed for excavators with a maximum weight of 16,000 lbs. This log splitter is engineered for heavy-duty wood splitting tasks, providing high force and precision.  It features robust construction and easy operation, making it ideal for forestry and land management projects.

EXCAVATOR LOG SPLITTER (WITH MOUNT AND PINS) NO HOSES

Splinter’s Log Splitter tool can split pieces of wood and logs up to 12 feet or even 20 ft long. The RSX models are designed with a bolt on excavator mount, the log splitter’s power comes from the hydraulically-driven motor mounting on a planetary drive, delivering a high amount of torque to the splitting head. The bit’s bite comes from machining two helical spirals machined into two pieces of steel. The two spirals join at the hardened tip for easy boring into the log. Driven on a 2” hex shaft or flange mount with an integrated shield that protects the drive from the rigors of splitting wood, the Log Splitter tool can tear into logs either horizontally or vertically.

Because the Splinter operates at a low RPM, chips are contained during operation with very little mess to clean up.

IDEAL FOR URBAN AREAS

The planer is ideal for urban areas and confined spaces where keeping chips contained is critical.

LARGER CHIPS

With less power required to produce fine material, larger stumps can be ground faster with small carriers, creating mulch for other small trees.

HARDENED REPLACEABLE TIP

The Splinter’s entry tip if hardened for extra-long wear and replaceable for a longer life.

Heavy Duty Sharpenable Blades

The smaller leading blade is made from AR500 steel and the larger clean up blade is made with AR400 steel. All cutting blades can be sharpened, lowering costs by not replacing blades as often.

BOLT-ON EXCAVATOR ADAPTOR

For additional versatility, the bolt-on excavator adaptor allows you to use the Splinter on a different excavator.

EASY TO CHANGE BITS

Easily change from splitting to grinding.

RUBBER MOUNTS

The Splinter’s rubber mounts help to soften the impact on the drive shaft.

Auger Attachment

Pengo’s patented 40/50 dual angle bolt on cutting can be flipped from a 40 degree cut angle to a 50 degree cut angle for a more aggressive cut in clay and hard pack dirt. Aggressor augers also come standard with our Tri-Flow Pilot bit. The three cutting blades make it easier to start a hole and keep the bit straighter
